The NARS Laguna Body Illuminator

If you guys have not already found out NARS is my favorite make up of all time. I wasn’t too sure about this product when I first saw it because being an NC50, I don’t truly think I need bronzer that much on my face and body.
NARS Body Illuminator ($ | £) comes only one color, Laguna. But their regular Illuminator ($ | £), which I find to be similar just only for your face, is in four colors: Copacabana, Laguna, Orgasm, and Super Orgasm. I bought this around a year ago, and I don’t think they sell this size is many stores as much as they used to.
When I squeezed the tube, a perfect warm golden-brown bronze color came out. It appeared to be extremely shimmery and pigmented but as soon as I rubbed it into my skin, I realized it wasn’t as shimmery as I expected to be. I was still pleased because I did not want anything overly shimmery on my legs.
It’s a light gel formular that smells like creamy coconut. I don’t really think anyone would have a problem with this smell.
Even though this illuminator comes in a big tube, you still need a lot of product if you’re using this mainly for your legs. It dries pretty quickly, so you need to work fast. I would suggest exfoliating/shaving your legs before you put this on; it looks so much better after doing that. One thing that I really liked is how it disguised all of my blemishes that were on my legs.
I heard of a few people using this on their face and claimed it looked lovely but I am pretty picky about what goes on my face, and I don’t think I will try that.
It takes honestly around 3-5 minutes for it to truly dry on your legs. I would not recommend putting clothes on right after unless you aren’t worried about it staining your clothes. It lasted about 3 hours on my skin, which was expected so I’m not too let down. NARS claims that it is transfer-free, which I would agree but I would not say that it is waterproof at all (like some people have claimed).
On tanned skin(NC30/35), and brown-skin (NC50), this will look lovely on your skin. It will give a beautiful sun-kissed glow that looks amazing during any sunny Summer day. If you are very dark skin, this may look ashy on your legs, so be careful. For any fair skin girls(NC20), I would suggest mixing your lotion in with this so give a more sheer look on your skin because this may be too dark for you.
Overall, I am pleased with this product. I think it is a lovely Summer product that will give a sun-kissed glow and can be applied to the face, body or mixed with a foundation. I have used it a few times while stepping out and received many compliments.
